The rules of Tariqah Al Qadiriyyah Al Jailaniyyah
By
Shaikh Al Sayyid Afifuddin bin Al Sayyid Abdul Qadir bin Mansuruddin Al Jailani Al Qadiri Al Baghdadi (May Allah be pleased with him)
From the counsel of Al-Imam Al-Rabbani Asy Shaikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jailani (may Allah bless his honoured soul)
Asy Shaikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jailani (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Fly unto The Real, The Exalted and Sublime, upon the two wings of the Quran and Sunnah, and draw close to Him hand in hand (closely associated and connected) with the Messenger (peace be upon him and his family).
O Allah! Employ our limbs and organs in Your obedient service, and our hearts in Your intimate knowledge. Employ us throughout our lives, by night and by day.
Join us with our predecessors among the righteous. Provide us with sustenance as You provided them with sustenance and be for us as You were for them. Ameen.
You must observe your religious duties. You must observe the rules of the sacred law, and practice opposition to the self, the passions, the devil, and bad companions.
IJAZAH AND SILSILAH
In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.

There is no God but Allah. We worship only Him. To Him belongs all blessings and to Him belongs all handsome and beautiful praises.
We say) There is no God but Allah, being sincere in our faith in Him even though the
unbelievers hate it.
We have entered the morning and the dominion has entered the morning, all subject and belonging to Allah alone and so all praises belong to Allah.

tauheed) and upon the religion of our Prophet Muhammad (salutations and blessings of
Allah be upon him), and the religion of our father Ibrahim (a.s.) who turned away from falsehood to the truth and submitted complelety to Allah and he was not of the idolaters.
O Allah, with Your leave we awoke in the morning and with Your leave we live and with Your leave we die, and unto You all will be resurrected and gathered for judgment
“O Allah! Truly I have awoken in the morning calling You and the bearers of Your Throne, your angels and all Your creatures to witness that You are Allah. There is no God besides
You alone and You have no partner, and that our Master Muhammad is Your servant and Messenger.
O Allah, whatever blessing that is with me this morning or with anyone from Your creation, it is from You alone. You have no partner and to You belongs all praise and thanks for that.
With the Name of Allah. That which Allah wills shall be. None brings about good except Allah.
With the Name of Allah. That which Allah wills shall be. None turns away evil except Allah.
With the Name of Allah. That which Allah wills shall be. That which is with you from blessings is from Allah.
With the name of Allah. That which Allah wills shall be. There is no might nor strength except with Allah.
Your God is one God. There is no God but He, Most Benficent, Most Merciful.
Allah! There is no god worthy of worship except Him, the Ever-Living, All- Sustaining. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him.
To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who could possibly intercede in His presence without His permission! He fully knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them, whereas they cannot encompass any of His knowledge except what He wills to reveal.
His eternal Sovereignty over His dominion (Seat of power) encompasses the heavens and earth, and the preservation of both does not pose a burden to Him and He is the Most High, the Greatest. (2:255)
The Messenger believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, as do the belivers. All believe in God and His angels and His revealed Books and His messengers. They say: We do not differentiate in faith between any of His Messengers.
Moreover, they say: we hear, and we obey. Your forgiveness, our Lord! For to You alone we shall all return.
God does not task a soul beyond its capacity. For it in the Hereafter is all the good that it has earned. And against it is the evil it has reaped.
Our lord! Hold us not accountable when we forget or err. Our Lord!
Do not lay upon us a burden like that which You have laid upon those before us. Our lord! Do not burden us with that which we do not have the strength to bear.
Rather, pardon us and forgive us and have mercy upon us. You alone are our Protector and so give us victory over the disbelieving people. (2:285-286)
Our Lord! do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us and bestow upon us mercy from Your presence for truly indeed You are the Bestower of all gifts. (3:8)
There is no God but He: that is the witness of God, His angels, and those endued with knowledge, standing firm on justice. There is no God but He, the Exalted in power, the Wise. The religion before God is Islam (submission to His will). (3:18)
Say, O Allah Possessor of the universe, You grant power to whom You choose and You take away power from whom You choose. You grant honor to whom You choose and You and humiliate whom You choose. All good is in Your possession and You indeed have power over everything.
(3:26) You bring the night to pass into the day and the day to pass into the night. You bring the living out of the dead and dead out of the living. And You give provisions to whomsoever You want without limit. (3:27)
Recite it onceSurah Yaseen
Allah is He, other than Whom there is no other God; Who knows the unseen and what can be witnessed; He is the Most Compassionate and Merciful. Allah is He, other than Whom there is no other God; the Sovereign, the All-holy, the Source of Peace, the Guardian of Faith, the Preserver of security, the Exalted in Might, the Compelling, the Supreme.
Glory be to God, Who is exalted above the partners they attribute to Him. He is Allah, the Creator, the Evolver, the Bestower of Forms. To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names: Whatever exists in heaven and earth declares His Praise and Glory. And He is Exalted in Might, the Wise.
onceAl-Falaq:113
I seek help from You, O Opener, O All-Knowing, O The All-Acquainted, O Source of Light, O Guide, O Revealer. I have believed in Allah.
I seek forgiveness from Allah.
There is no God but Allah.
Indeed, Allah showers His blessings upon the Prophet, and His angels pray for him. O you who believe! Invoke Allah’s blessings upon him (s.a.w.), and salute him with worthy salutations of peace. (33:56)
O Allah, we ask You to bestow peace and blessings upon our leader Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and companions.

O Allah, we ask You to bestow peace and blessings upon our beloved, Muhammad and upon his family and companions.
O Allah, we ask You to bestow peace and blessings upon our intercessor Muhammad and upon his family and his companions.
O Allah, bestow peace and blessings upon the soul of our leader Muhammad (SAW) among the souls, and upon his honored body among the bodies and upon his enlightened heart, and he (s.a.w.) is light, and upon his honourable grave among the graves and upon his esteemed name among names as much as the things that Your knowledge encompasses and the ink needed to write Your Words and at every time Your Name is mentioned by those who remember You and every moment the unmindful neglect and forget to remember You and him (s.a.w.). And bestow Your peace and blessings, O my Lord upon Your beloved Muhammad and upon Your Prophets and Messengers and all their families and companions in entirety, and praise be to Allah the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds.
O Allah bestow Your blessings upon our Master Muhammad, whose light preceded all of creation and whose appearance was a blessing to all of existence, as many times as Your creation that has died and remains alive, those who shall attain feliecity and those who are wretched, blessings that transcend all enumeration and encompass all limits, blessings that have no extreme limit and are infinite, blessings that are perpetual as You are eternal and upon his family and his companions and bestow the like of it from salutations.
To the presence of our Master, the Chosen One of God, Muhammad (blessings and salutations of Allah be upon him) and to the impeccable members of his family and his good companions in entirety, then to the presence of the Sultan of the saints and pious servants of Allah, our revered master and spiritual guide Asy Syaikh ‘Abdul Qadir Al Jailani; may Allah sanctify his honoured soul; and may Allah give us strength through his spiritual gifts and help us observe all his movements and benefit us through his blessings, and then to the followers of “Tariqah Al Qadiriyah” and especially to the presence of our teacher and spiritual guide As Sayyid Afeefuddin bin Al Sayyid Abdul Qadir bin Mansuruddin Al Jailani Al Qadiri Al Baghdadi, a gift for the sake of Allah for all them with recital of Al Fatehah.

I am seeking the One Who Suffices. I have found the One Who Suffices. The One Who Suffices suffices me.
He is sufficient for all things and all praise belongs to Allah. Perform dzikrs and salawaats after completion of tahajjud and witr prayers and remember that Allah (S.W.T.) is close to His seravnts at this time, especially the last third of the night and so make use of the opportunity to ask Allah for your needs.

Kalamullah) daily. The recital can be as little as a small part of one juz´ up to
as much as you are able to recite in one day.
We should strive to memorize at least one verse, or a short Surah of the holy Quran every day. In this way, the amount of Quran in our hearts will gradually increase throughout our lifetime. Allah willing, we might even be able to memorize the entire Quran.
a) Recite the following salawat a minimum of 100 times up to a maximum of 500 times daily. You may a read a specific number after every prayer.
O Allah bestow Your blessings and salutations of peace upon our leader, the Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and companions.

Shams ul Kanz Al A’zam
Before reciting the following benediction (as solat), recite surahs Al Ihklaas, Al Falaq and An Naas three times each. The time for reading it is any time after Isha’ until Fajr prayer.
O Allah bestow the best of Your perpetual blessings and the most flourishing of Your never ending blessings and the most pure of Your salutations in virtue and number upon the most noble of humankind and the source of the realities of faith and the mountain of the manifestations of good and the place of descent of the secrets of the Most Gracious and the intermediary of the line of Prophets and the leader of the army of the Messengers and the commander of the entourage of the ennobled Prophets and the most honourable of creation, the flag bearer of the greatest pride and the possessor of the reins of sublime glory, the witness to eternal secrets and witness to the eternal lights and the translator of the tongue of eternity and the source of knowledge and wisdom, the manifestation of the secrets of creation, in part and in entirety, the pupil of the essence of the higher and lower forms of existence, the soul of the physical existence of the two realms of existence and the essence of life of the two abodes and attainer of the highest levels of servanthood, displayer of the conduct dictated by the stations of those chosen by God, the greatest intimate friend and most honourable beloved, our master Muhammad ibn ‘Abdillah ibn ‘Abdil Muttalib, blessings and salutations of Allah be upon him and all the Prophets and Messengers and upon their families and companions in entirety, each time you are remembered by those who remember You and the unmindful forgot to remember You and them.
8) Al Fatihah
We must recite Al Fatihah 100 times daily (excluding its recital in the daily obligatory and Sunnah prayers). This is to be recited after each obligatory prayer as follows: Fajr- 30 times Zuhr – 25 times ‘Asr – 20 times Maghrib – 15 times, and ‘Isha’ – 10 times Alternatively, you may choose to recite Al Fatihah 50 times after Fajr prayer and 50 times after either the Magrib or ‘Isya prayer.
Doa after reciting al Fatihah:
After reciting Al Fatihah, read the following Doa:
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, The Merciful), the Enlightener of the eyes
of His close servants with spiritual cognition and certitude, the controller of the reins of the secrets of those who attain the knowledge of reality by making them incline to His closeness and by enabling them, the Opener of the locks of those who realise the meaning of the oneness and uniqueness of God with an opening to the knowledge of His Oneness and granting manifest success, He Who perfected all things He created and He began the creation of man from clay and then created his descendants from the extract of a lowly fluid (32:7&8). (The Most Beneficent and the Most Merciful), the Almighty, The All Wise, The Most High and The Great, The First, The Eternal, Who addressed Musa (a.s.) to honour him and venerated His Prophet
Muhammad) with the exalted divine text: and We have bestowed upon you the
seven often repeated verses and the great Quran (15:87). (Master of the of the Day of Judgement), the Subduer of the tyrants and the rebellious and destroyer of the transgressors and deniers of the truth. Such is Allah, your Lord and so glory be to Allah, the best of creators.
O He Who has no partners and helpers. (You Alone we worship and You Alone we call on for help) and we admit to not fulfilling Your
rights at all times and at every moment. O Sender of the wind of devastation and O He brings decayed bones to life. (Guide us along the Straight Way) the path of the people of sincerity and complete submission.
(the way of those upon whom You have bestowed Your blessings) the path of those who delight in guidance and rejoice at that which is in their presence. (Not the way of those upon whom is Your wrath) O Allah grant us the experiences of love of the truthful ones and make us witness the unveilings of the martyrs and do not make us from those who are astray nor those who lead others astray and do not resurrect us in the company of the sinners.
(nor of those who go astray). O Allah, by the truth of this opening, (al Fatihah(, grant us a near victory. O Allah, by this ‘The Cure’)one of the names of al Fatihah), cure us from all afflictions and defects in this world and the hereafter. O Allah, by this ‘The Sufficer’ (one of the names of al Fatihah), suffice us in that which has caused us grief and worry from the affairs of the world and the hereafter and make our links and attachments and the links and attachments of Your believing servants proceed in accordance with the most honourable of Your norms and intercede personally for us in Your presence, in this world and the hereafter for there is no one who is more merciful to us and them than You, O Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
9) The Extra Effort
The following are Sunnahs that we must strive to perform to draw closer to Allah
S.W.T.). Do so whenever you are able and remember your goal is to be closer to Allah.
A. Fasting
Remember always that fasting is a spiritual worship performed for the sake of Allah
S.W.T.).
Besides the the compulsory fast in the month of Ramadhan, we should try to fast on the days that the Messenger of Allah observed fast regularly, such as on a Monday and a Thursday; 6 days in Shawwal; the Day of ‘Arafah (for those not performing); the Day of Ashuraa; etc. You may fast on any other day to get closer to Allah and to seek His assistance regarding any difficulties you face.
B. Surah Al Kahf
Read the first 10 verses of Surah Al Kahf every day as a protection from the trials of Al Dajjal. You may also read these ten verses after each of the 5 daily prayers. Recite Surah Al Kahf every Friday before the Friday congregational prayers.
C. Special Doa 1:
This is a special prayer of Saiyidina Shaikh Abdul Qadir Al jailani (qsa). If you recite this at least once every day or twice a day after Subuh and the Maghrib or ‘Isha prayer, which is better, doing so with presence of mind and heart, Allah (swt) will bless you with the ability to change your life such that He will employ you to serve Him..
O Allah! Employ our limbs in Your obedient service, and our hearts in with the quest for Your intimate knowledge. Employ us throughout our lives, by night and by day and join us with our predecessors among the righteous.
Provide us as You provided for them and be for us as you were for them. Ameen.
D. Special Doa 2:
This should be recited as a dzikr. If you recite this 100 times daily, you will be protected from worries and disturbances.
Glory be to the Sovereign, the All-holy. I seek refuge in Allah The All-Hearing The all- Knowing from the accursed Satan. And If He wills, He willremove you and bring about a new creation, and that is no great matter for Allah.

O Allah, I take refuge with You from the evil of my self and the evil of every creature, their forelock being in Your grasp (You have complete control over them). My Lord is indeed on the straight path.
14) Doa through the intercession of the Prophet (at tawassul):
O Allah, I truly ask You and humbly beseech You through the intercession of Your Prophet, Muhammad (S.A.W.), the Prophet of mercy. O Messenger of Allah, I beseech my Lord through your intercession for my request so that it may be answered (mention your needs). O Allah accept his (our prophet’s) intercession for me.
